Shoshanna and Jorgina first met on MySpace in 2008, but it took a year until they got together in person. Once they started talking—at a gay bar in Hoboken for Take It Off Tuesdays—they knew they never wanted to be without one another.

“I love how Shoshanna is very passionate about her family, her closest friends, her goals—and me, of course,” Jorgina said. “When it comes to being passionate, she’ll do everything she can to make loved ones happy. She’s a big cheerleader when it comes to other people reaching their goals and being successful. I love how she’s a go-getter, and she hustles every day, doing things that she loves to do.”

Shoshanna said that eight years later, she loves that Jorgina is “the same person she’s ever been.” “She’s just more grown up, wiser, more understanding and more patient with me,” Shoshanna said. “I’m not easy to love, and for her, it’s so easy to love me. How can someone not want that?”

The couple agrees they both have “a lot of patience, compromise and unconditional love” for one another, which has been necessary for them to overcome some health-related challenges they’ve dealt with. “Time apart to be selfish, taking care of ourselves and giving each other space helped us to overcome this obstacle so that we could be 100% for each other men-tally, physically, and emotionally,” they said.

Shoshanna and Jorgina would like to marry in the next few years. But above all, they said, they hope to be “enjoying each other’s company like we always have.”
