You’ve heard of free the nipple but Kristen Stewart is making a convincing case for free the nether-regions as well. She strutted down the red carpet for the Love Lies Bleeding premiere sans pants, stopping the show in a body suit and tights. Tara Swennen is the stylist responsible for this iconic look, and the pantless trend that will likely follow.

Love Lies Bleeding is a romantic thriller that promises steaming hot WLW action. It’s been described as a “bombastic, larger-than-life sophomore effort” and “an off-the-wall, rambunctious lesbian love story.” Yes please.
Stewart plays Lou, a gym employee with a dark family secret who has never left her small town. She’s immediately taken by the new girl in town Jackie, a bisexual bodybuilder played by Katy O’Brian. The two of them become infatuated with each other, but their relationship is immediately tested by the fact that Lou’s dad (Ed Harris) is wanted by the FBI for doing some seriously bad stuff.
Love Lies Bleeding officially premieres in theaters this Friday.
Kristen spoke about the new film to the Hollywood reporter, saying, “We can’t keep doing that thing where we tell everyone how to feel, and where we sort of pat each other on the back and receive brownie points for providing space for marginalized voices and only in the capacity that they are allowed to speak about that alone.”
“The era of queer films, being so pointedly only that, is over,” she continued. “It’s done. Maybe they’ll happen, but I think things develop and move on. It’s just so inherent to how we’re all moving forward.”
She added, “It’s not making [movies] about the reasons that they’re sidelined, but peoples’ actual experiences, what they love, what their desires are, where they come from, where they want to go and, yeah, not feeling like you always have to stand on a fucking soapbox and be everyone’s spokesperson.”
