Sabrina and Ava’s early courtship reads like the “hot list” of NYC lesbian bars. They met at the Stonewall Inn before Pride last summer and ended up working together on the *snapshot* party’s float, but it wasn’t until an Eden party six months later that they really connected. Later that evening, Sabrina broke into an impromptu rap serenade, after which she walked Ava home and asked her out “on a proper first date.” Many months, yoga sessions, day-trips and explorations later, the couple agrees that spending quality time together is vital for a developing relationship, as is unconditional care. An event planner and photographer in New York City, Sabrina loves working on her craft, traveling, cooking, doing yoga — all things Ava, the founder of a yoga artist management agency, cherishes as well. “We do yoga together, sweat together, breathe together, support each other’s goals genuinely, and continue to challenge one another,” Ava says. It also helps that everyone thinks they make a beautiful couple. “The morning after my friends met Ava,” said Sabrina, “I woke up to texts about how amazing and beautiful they all think she is. It makes me proud and happy.”
