A new queer-centered dating show appropriately titled ‘I Kissed a Girl’ is coming just in time for a steamy summer.

The show was announced back in February. A post on ‘X’ from BBC Three reads “Love lost? Situationship gone sour? Don’t worry, Dannii’s back playing Cupid this summer.”

Today, the network released more juicy details.

The show will follow 10 beautiful women who will spend their next few weeks in an Italian villa. A series of ‘kiss-offs’ will determine who the girls pair up with. What better way to meet someone than with a smooch?

After getting to know each other and testing the relationship, the two will decide if they want to stay together or go their separate ways and explore a new girl in the villa.

BBC Three began announcing their players today, and there’s a type for everyone. From Fiorenza, the 22-year-old tatted drummer, to Amy the 24-year-old Social Media Manager.

“Hot Girl Summer is upon us,” BBC Three declares.

The series is a spinoff of last year’s ‘I Kissed a Boy,’ which was centered around queer men.

Pop star Dannii Minogue will revise her role as Cupid for the spinoff. For an extra lesbian kick the show will also feature queer comedian and TikTok star Charley Marlowe as the narrator.

The first two episodes premiere on May 5 on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer. New episodes will air on BBC Three every Monday.
