US Women’s National Soccer Team star Ashlyn Harris has filed for divorce from her wife, Ali Krieger, after nearly four years of marriage and over a decade together.

Fans noticed this year that Kreiger and Harris were not posting with each other on social media as much as they used to. Kreiger and Harris began attending events separately, or even not engaging at events where they both were. A few weeks ago, Kreiger and Harris removed “Proud Wife” from their Instagram bios. It has now been revealed that Harris filed for divorce in Florida, citing the marriage is “irretrievably broken.

Kreiger and Harris first met as teammates in 2010 while playing for the US Women’s National Team. They were also both drafted to the Orlando Pride. They decided to keep their relationship on the down-low so as not to distract from their work and their team. However, fans quickly picked up on their chemistry and nicknamed them “Krashlyn.” Nine years after they met, the couple got married in Florida in December 2019.

The couple welcomed baby girl Sloane via adoption in 2021, and they were both traded to Gotham FC shortly after. The couple moved from Florida to the NYC/NJ area, and in 2022, they adopted a baby boy named Ocean. The kids are now 2 1/2 and 14 months, respectively. Harris retired from soccer last year, and Kreiger will be playing her final game this coming Sunday.

Information regarding the nature of the split has not been released. However, documents note that the couple is planning to resolve financial and parenting issues, including attending a parenting class. In the meantime, neither Kreiger nor Harris are allowed to relocate more than 50 miles away from their current place of residence, as outlined in the provided documents. Additionally, child support payments will be put in place retroactively from the date the no longer lived together, though it is not stated who will be paying who.
