“Our first date was at a party” says Sara. “Girls were hitting on Gretchen all night. At one point, we were literally making out, and some chick walks over and strikes up a conversation with her. I remember thinking, is this girl serious? Gretchen seemed like bad news but I liked her too much to care. And apparently she liked me too, because I helped her put her bachelor days behind her. After we’d been dating for a few months, Gretchen made the tough decision to move back to her home state, California. The day she told me we stayed up all night crying. But I soon realized that I had to go with her. I knew if I didn’t go, I would always wonder what would have happened if I had. We stayed together long distance at first, and finalized the plan for the move. In May, California will be my home as well.”
