6 and Sittin’ Pretty

Our Sixth Year In Review!

Primary Pin Ball

In May 2007, Illinois Senator Barack Obama announced his presidential bid, joining New York State Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and former North Carolina Senator John Edwards among the Democratic hopefuls. In January 2008, Edwards dropped out of the race, leaving Clinton and Obama to duke it out “so that history can blaze its path.” That same month, Republican hopeful Rudy Giuliani threw in the towel, endorsing Senator John McCain as his party’s front-runner. In March 2008, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee followed suit. Former Mass-achusetts Governor Mitt Romney dropped out in April, after spending $35 million of his own money on his campaign. Don’t burn out yet—this should be a November to remember.
