Colette Lee Morales has been doing what she loves since she was a kid.

“I would cut all of my dolls’ hair off out of my bedroom window,” the 34-year-old New York-based hairstylist said. “And [I’d] use my grandma as my model.”

Also a dedicated fitness coach, Morales has found that her passions lie in helping others feel good about themselves.

“Enhancing others’ beauty is a true passion for me,” she said. “Hearing someone tell me that because of this particular event or fitness class or hairstyle I gave them, they feel amazing, confident and proud is priceless. [It] is what fuels my inspiration to keep going.”

Morales also loves to give people a place to go, producing events like fashion shows and fundraisers, which she says comes from her “drive to only want to do more … making a difference in the world.”

“Giving others a platform to express themselves creatively and artistically while giving back drives me to the fullest,” she said. “Planning came very naturally to me, and I live for these moments.”

Keeping confidence in yourself, Morales said, is key to success in all of the different ventures she takes on.

“Life is always going to have its extreme highs and extreme lows. Learning to grow from those experiences and letting them empower you as opposed to surrendering is what will take you to the next level,” she said. “I trust the motto ‘A goal without a plan is just a wish.’”
