Jessica Clark is an actress, out lesbian, and former runway model who once shared a dressing room with Naomi Campbell (and who lived to talk about it). Or maybe it just prepared her for her TV-series acting debut last year as Lilith, the blood-bathing mother of all vampires in HBO’s Emmy-nominated, True Blood. Before she got her fang on, Clark was already acting in commercials for L’Oreal, Aveda and Redken, and was featured as Usher's love interest in the music video for "Burn." A U.K. native whose stunning looks can be credited to her Nigerian, Irish and Indian background, Clark first resisted the acting bug. "I tried not to [act]. I explored other career options I thought I could enjoy, [but] something kept me coming back to this." Most recently, "this" meant playing a high-priced escort in Nicole Conn's latest film, A Perfect Ending. With True Blood returning this June for season six, we haven't seen the last of Lilith, or Clark. It's a good thing because as she admits, "It has been incredibly challenging at times, but for me, there is no back-up plan." -DN
