Meredith and Randi first met online, while Randi was looking for women for her best friend to date. Meredith and the friend spoke on the phone, but nothing came of it. Randi was also in a relationship at the time and living in L.A., while Meredith lived in Manhattan. Their paths seemed unlikely to meet, but they connected again a year later when the now-single Randi was in New York on business. “I finally built up the courage to call this amazing girl I’ve been hearing so much about to find out if she wanted to meet me for a drink,” Randi says. “She totally dissed me and sent me out to fend for myself my first single night out in the NYC bar scene! She said she wanted me to see the scene before she met the grand prize.” Although their bi-coastal lifestyle can be hard on actual face-time, the two rely on good communication and unconditional love to get through lonely moments—in fact, they consider themselves the East and West coast versions of one another.
