Beyoncé Unveils Surprise ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ Remix

Calling all cowboys/girls/they/thems to the dance floor.

Keep ’em coming!

Beyoncé shared a surprise remix of ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ today, complete with a brand new verse calling “all my cowboys to the dance floor”.

The original track topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart earlier this year. It also topped the Billboard Hot Country chart, making Beyoncé the first black woman to do so.

Cowboy Carter, her eighth studio album,  has broken multiple streaming records since its release on March 29.

It became Spotify‘s most-streamed album in a single day in 2024.

On Amazon Music, the release earned the most first day streams of a country album by a female artist on the platform.

Beyoncé, who also acted as the album’s executive producer, agrees with the hype of her genre-bending masterpiece, saying in a statement it is the “best music I’ve ever made”.

Earlier this week, she accepted the Innovator Award during the iHeartRadio Music Awards, presented to her by Stevie Wonder. She dedicated her award to “all the innovators who have dedicated their lives and their art to creating shifts.”

Along with the remix, she also launched a new website today called beencountry.com. The site showcases a few photos of the Queen Bee, including her teen self singing at the Texas Sweetheart Pageant and a recent flick of her sporting furry chaps and a cowboy hat.

Her slogan is plastered on the site:  “This ain’t a country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album”.

So far, the site only allows you to sign up for updates but fans will surely be refreshing daily to watch for the star’s next move. The excitement surrounding the album points to the possibility of an upcoming tour, which the Beyhive believes is imminent.
