Wines of South Africa (WOSA) USA (wosa.us), the industry association that promotes the exports of South African wine, is excited to announce a partnership with the Chelsea Drinks Project, a joint project of Wine Lovers of NYC and Pierre Loti Wine Bars in Manhattan to launch the first-ever South African Wine Project. This partnership will offer NY wine lovers the opportunity to explore the diversity of South African wine in one location through tastings or just a quick drink at the bar.
The month-long event will take place in February, and will feature eight special South African by-the-glass pours and bottles on the menu. And there will be four special events at Pierre Loti Chelsea (258 West 15 St at 8th Ave) celebrating South African Wines:
2/1: Free tastes and happy hour pricing all night, 4pm-close
2/4: A guided tasting of South African Wines with Pascal Schildt, a major importer of South African wines. Tasting 8 wines 2-4pm
2/18: A guided tasting of South African Wines with Jim Clarke, Marketing Manager of Wines of South Africa. Tasting 8 wines 2-4pm
2/28: Free tastes and happy hour pricing all night, 4pm-close
And South African Airlines will be offering a free trip to South Africa to one lucky couple who visits Pierre Loti Chelsea during the month. Make sure to stop by!
