Chappell Roan Celebrates The New Year By Ranking Her Most ‘Iconique’ Looks

January 1, 2025

Chappell Roan performs at The 2024 Governor's Ball in New York City

There's no better way to ring in the New Year than to reminisce on Chappell's wonderful fashion choices.

We all have our favorite Chappell Roan looks from this year, but who better to deliver their official ranking than the Midwest Princess herself?

Chappell’s looks all have a special place in our hearts- it’s like asking us to choose our favorite child! However, the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer had no issue naming her top ten.

In tenth place is her gorgeous Marie Antoinette-esque ensemble, which she wore during her performance of “Red Wine Supernova” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in February.

Chappell looked angelic sitting inside a massive heart in her Victorian-inspired mini dress, dripping with jewels. We’re happy this early look made the cut.

Her pink-and-blue wrestling-inspired outfit that rocked Lollapalooza in August (and showed off her biceps) ranks at number nine. The matching mask and armbands complete the look and make Chappell look ready to hop in the ring!

It’s almost a crime to put this look so low. But this is the queen’s list, so who are we to disagree? Chappell’s White Swan look worn during her performance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in June comes in at number eight. The look is full of so many intricate details, from the eyelashes to the nails- this is an all-time favorite for us!

In seventh place is her bright butterfly look, inspired by Lady Miss Kier, from Coachella Weekend 2 in April. Dressed in this gorgeous look, Chappell delivered her iconic line: “I’m your favorite artist’s favorite artist.”

Chappell’s Joan of Arc suit of armor from the September VMAs takes sixth place. In her shiny chainmail, Chappell took the stage to perform “Good Luck, Babe!” and blew us all away. She took home four VMAs this year, including Best New Artist.

A white latex outfit emblazoned with “EAT ME,” completed with leopard print tights and studded accessories, comes in fifth place. This suggestive look (which is giving Jersey Shore vibes) was worn during her Coachella Weekend 1 set. This year marked Chappell’s first Coachella, so the looks hold a special place in her heart.

For fourth place, we’re back at the VMAs. This night was so iconic that she had to add it twice. Her sheer black dress on the red carpet was breathtaking and powerful. In this look, Chappell clashed with a photographer on the carpet, which she acknowledged by captioning the photo, “vma carpet (triggered)”.

Coming in third is the pink prom dress of our dreams, which Chappell showed off during her NPR Tiny Desk concert in April. She paired the look with her classic Chappell makeup (pale foundation and blue eyeshadow) and her red hair piled high. If you’re looking for a sign to rewatch this performance, here it is!

Her Grammy afterparty look, which was later channeled into the “Good Luck, Babe!” cover art, takes second place. She donned the adorable pig nose, draping headpiece, and form-fitting red dress in February.

Taking its rightful spot in first place is Chappell’s Lady Liberty look from The Governor’s Ball this June. We’re so glad this year brought us Chappell Roan in full body paint, emerging from a giant apple and smoking a blunt.

There’s no better way to ring in the New Year than to reminisce on Chappell’s wonderful fashion choices.

Now, our only question is when is “The Giver” dropping?
