The Ms. Foundation’s Comedy Night returns to Carolines on Broadway Monday for a star-studded, all-women lineup of comedians looking to make us laugh at a time when we need it the most.
“You Just Gotta Laugh” will feature headline performer Ilana Glazer, co-creator and star of the comedy series, “Broad City,” along with fellow comedians Chanel Ali, Zarna Garg, Jordan Jensen, Yamaneika Saunders, Dulcé Sloan and Maysoon Zayid.
Gloria Steinem, founder of the Ms. Foundation, and Caroline Hirsh, the founder of Carolines, will also be in attendance, along with current Ms. Foundation for Women President and CEO Theresa Younger. Steinem and Hirsh launched the first Comedy Night in 1989.
This year’s event comes “at a crucial time for women in our nation – less than one month ahead of the midterm elections and reproductive rights are on the line following the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson,” said representatives of the Ms. Foundation in a press release.
The foundation, it continued, “is uniting with comedians … to celebrate the grassroots movement to advance equity for all genders and take an important moment to laugh.”

The event kicks off Monday October 3 at Carolines with cocktails at 6 pm, followed by the show at 7 pm. Proceeds benefit the Ms. Foundation for Women, the country’s oldest organization advocating for the rights of women.
