NN. DON’T EVEN ASK
Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell reached an all-time
popularity low this year with major military officials questioning the usefulness of the policy. During a CNN appearance Colin Powell said DADT should be reevaluated; still, 11 servicemembers were booted from the military under the policy right before Obama took office. The soldiers were a last-minute discharge under the directives of the Bush administration. Obama has promised to review DADT but has yet to make a major move on it.
