HH. SHEA GOODBYE
Wrecking balls tore down iconic Shea Stadium and the New York Mets got a brand-new place to play ball this year. Citigroup signed a $400 million dollar contract to get the stadium to bear their name, but the troubled financial institution has now received two-multi-billion-dollar rescues from the Feds. With taxpayers kicking in so much dough, two City Council members have suggested renaming it “Taxpayer Field.”
