Everything You Want to Know About the Original LGBT Expo

The expo is back, and it is bigger than ever!

One of the most anticipated events of the year in the LGBT community, the Original LGBT Expo is returning on Saturday, February 28 and Sunday, March 1 to the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.  The new producers of the expo, Life Out Loud Events, have some exciting things in store for the 22nd year of this historic event!

For the first time ever, there will be a full seminar series available to attendees, with 12 informative and entertaining seminars that aim to engage the thousands of people attending this two-day event. The seminars will cover a broad range of topics, from lifestyle and family, to health, travel, finance and technology. There will most definitely be something for everyone! Experts from around the world will be speaking on this wonderful variety of topics, and all seminars are included with admission to the expo. 

Some of the featured speakers will include the WNBA's New York Liberty giving a panel discussion focusing on the LGBT community and athletics, FDNY Firefighter Brooke Guinan presenting The Transgender Workplace and gay Vietnam War-era veteran, activist and historian Sgt. First Class Denny Meyer giving an emotional presentation of A Blunt History of Gays in the Military. 

The entertainment stage will feature some of the LGBT community's finest performers. On Saturday, top names such as the Cody Bondra Band, Joes Batista Ayala, Cheer New York, Rob Scott, Schwa De Vivre, Jay Blahnik, Honeybird, Doris Dear, Maci Sumcox, Destiny Devine, Josh Zuckerman, the duo of Ryan Skyy and Niki Darling, Alexander Greif, Jade Starling and Kayvon Zand will headline the stage. Sunday's performers will be just as impressive, with names like Clover Honey, Tym Moss, Carmella Cann, DJ InfTheTurnUp, Nichole Medoro, Taj Weekes, Lovari with Robin Byrd and other special guests, Aris, Aaron Paul, Christian Ryan, Run Jenny and The Glamazons gracing attendees with their amazing talents. Additionally, a well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to famed personality and journalist Michael Musto.

The expo will also feature a Video Lounge with a two-day schedule chock-full of events with which to entertain attendees. Saturday will feature Neal Bennington as he presents Broadway Sings for Pride and performances by the Long Island Community Fellowship Chorus and Barnacle Bill. Sunday will be just as exciting, with events like a Doggie Fashion Show by Roberto Negrin and a Trans Fashion Show by Jessica LaFontaine. There will also be another hour of Broadway Sings for Pride!
