Favorite celesbian couple Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson have called it quits after almost two years together, People reports. Multiple sources say the breakup happened in April.
“Cara and Ashley always had their ups and down before but it’s over now,” one source told People. “Their relationship just ran its course.”
With the coronavirus pandemic raging on, it’s certainly not the easiest time to go through a breakup. But a source said that Delevingne has been taking a healthy approach by self-quarantining alone and spending time with friends.
The former couple hasn’t confirmed the breakup, nor have their representatives made any comment. However, they did seemingly remove photos of each other from social media — a tell-tale sign. Also, there was a December 2019 tweet from Delevingne, which she quickly deleted after posting: “Me and Ashley broke up.”
Delevingne and Benson were first spotted kissing in August 2018. They’ve been seen together many times since, including one shopping trip to buy a sex bench.
In June 2019, Delevingne confirmed their relationship publicly in the middle of Pride month. “It’s been just about our one year anniversary so, why not?” Delevingne said at the time. Just a month later, engagement rumors were starting to swirl, and the couple had reportedly moved in together.
“They are living together and they have been for a little awhile,” a source told E! News at the time. “This is Cara’s first real home in L.A. and they are really enjoying this time together. Ashley has never been in a relationship like this and is happier than she has ever been.”
The source added, “It’s a different type of relationship with a lot of understanding, support and loving communication. They just do normal things like get coffee, walk the dog or go to the movies. They like to stay home together a lot and just chill. They are very sweet and loving together. They are always doing simple nice things for each other and it all comes very easy and naturally. They are committed to one another and very much in love.”
