Brandi Burgess‘s dad, Rick Burgess, is a bit of a conservative celebrity as the co-host of the “Rick & Bubba Show,” a syndicated morning radio show based out of Birmingham, Alabama. A bisexual woman, Brandi wrote a piece for AL.com about her sexual identity, which spawned an on-air discussion of her father’s “spiritual battle” over her “sin.” In this new video from the HRC, Brandi shares her story and how important it is for us to continue that push fo LGBTQ visibility and acceptance in the South.
