Miley Cyrus Says We Should’ve Known She Was Bi

“If you guys didn’t know I was bisexual from this damn picture, I don’t know what’s wrong with you.”

You remember the viral photo of Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Emily Osment walking down the street in 2009, right? Here’s a refresher: Swift, Lovato and Osment are all dressed in gorgeous little black dresses while Cyrus rocks cargo pants and a tee shirt. The photo was reportedly captured taken after the premiere of “Hannah Montana: The Movie.”

Now, Cyrus is giving us an insider scoop about the picture in a new TikTok video.

“Me and Emily, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato are going to the Cheesecake Factory. These are some classy ladies,” she said.

Cyrus acknowledged the sensation the photo made on the internet. “This picture has become a meme where it says, ‘Be the Miley of your friend group,’” she added.

But the best thing Cyrus said about the iconic photo is, “If you guys didn’t know I was bisexual from this damn picture, I don’t know what’s wrong with you,” she said.

“What? I mean hello! Look at ‘em.”

In 2016, Cyrus said she was pansexual in an interview with Variety.

“I always hated the word ‘bisexual,’ because that’s even putting me in a box. I don’t ever think about someone being a boy or someone being a girl,” she told Variety at the time.

Cyrus has been sharing clips on TikTok as part of her “Used to Be Young” series celebrating the release of her song of the same name. The series shows Cyrus reflecting on moments of her life starting at her birth in 1992, giving us insight and a new perspective to the past three decades of her life.

In a press release for the new single, Cyrus said, “This song is about honoring who we’ve been, loving who we are and celebrating who we will become. I feel proud when reflecting on my past and optimistic when thinking about the future.”
