WNBA star Jonquel Jones has broken up with fiancée, is ‘on the market’

Six-time WNBA all-star Jonquel Jones is back on the market!

Jones, who was named MVP for the 2021 WNBA season and has been out during her career, was previously engaged to Dinesha Keeshone. Based on recent comments, she seems to be single and ready to mingle again!

Jones was recently a guest on the Game Recognize Game podcast with her teammate Breanna Stewart and Myles Turner when she spoke about her love life.

In an episode released on June 30, Jones was asked if she had anything to add to her Wikipedia “personal” section.

“Life has been good to me, you know?” she said. “I’m on the market, you know. I’m single, so I’m putting in applications…” 

“I have a lot of nieces and nephews, so I’m not in a rush for kids anytime soon,” Jones added.

Jones reiterated her single status in an X post for her team, the New York Liberty.

The Liberty shared a video on X asking various players to “describe your love life in basketball terms.”

“We had a lot of great players on the team, but none of them were signed to long-term contracts…” Jones laughed, seemingly referencing the fact that she didn’t end up getting married.

Jones announced her engagement to her then partner, Dinesha Keeshone, in April of 2023 in an Instagram post.

As of November 20, 2024, the pair were still a couple, according to The Tribune, a Bahamas-based newspaper. That November, The Tribune reported on a trip Jones and her fiancée took to The Bahamas – where Jones was born. Same sex unions are not recognized in The Bahamas, and the couple’s visit sparked controversy from conservative groups.

It is not known when Jones and Keeshone broke up.
