Check Out The Celesbians That Slayed Halloween This Year

November 1, 2019

They did not come here to play.

Happy day after Halloween to all those witches and ghouls that dressed slutty last night (or not!), went all out on their makeup, and danced the night away at some of the best parties of the year. While we were celebrating Gay Christmas with heavy face paint and cheap well drinks, some of the celesbians we know and love were dressed to the nines in some of the best costumes we’ve seen. In celebration of them, and as closure for the crazy holiday this year, here’s a list of the best celesbian Halloween costumes of 2019. Stay queer and spooky!

Halsey as Cher and Marilyn Manson

It’s common to see a celeb go all out on multiple costumes if they’re super into Halloween, and Halsey proved no exception. She did two phenomenal looks: She dressed up as Cher alongside boyfriend Evan Peters, as well as Marilyn Manson. Both were a tribute to iconic musical artists just like her!

Beanie Feldstein & Friends as “The Wizard of Oz”

Beanie Feldstein shot to stardom this year in “Booksmart,” and she kept her momentum going by giving us a classic (but well-executed) Halloween costume. Dressed up as Dorothy (because she’s the star, duh), she’s surrounded by famous friends in famous costumes — Ben Platt is the Tin Man, Noah Galvin is the Scarecrow, and Molly Gordon is the Lion.

Demi Lovato as Marie Antoinette and IT

Demi Lovato is another queer woman icon who gave us multiple looks. In fact, these weren’t the only two she did this year; she did a total of three (these were just the best)! In her first costume, Demi is serving as Marie Antoinette, complete with a huge balloon of a wig. In her second, she’s giving us hot IT realness — I wish the scary clown always looked this hot!

Lizzo as a DNA Test

I’m obsessed with Lizzo. Who isn’t?! And while she hasn’t come out as explicitly queer, the iconic singer has hinted about being down with the ladies. Lizzo went for something a little different this year; instead of dressing as something, she low-key went as herself. Well, she went as a DNA test that reads “100% That Bitch,” but we all know that Lizzo IS that bitch, so she just dressed as herself basically.

Gigi Gorgeous Getty & Nat Getty as “The Nightmare Before Christmas”

As reigning champs of the cutest (and hottest) couple award, Gigi and Nat Getty went as a couple’s costume: “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Gigi is outfitted in Sally’s costume, complete with cartoonishly large painted-on eyes and a “stitched-together” dress. By her side, Nat’s costume was just as good, as she sported a whimsically large collar and perfect face paint to match.

Stephanie Beatriz as Billie Eilish

Stephanie Beatriz, known for playing Rosa Diaz on “Brooklyn 99,” went for a more casual (but just as eye-catching) costume: Billie Eilish. Eilish is a majorly popular singer among the youths right now, and she’s most commonly associated with oversized clothing in bright or muted colors. Here, Beatriz gives a nod to the singer with an all green ‘fit and a beanie to boot.

Those were the best celesbian costumes we saw this year. Which was your favorite?
