Breaking GO News: The much anticipated official reopening of the completely reimagined, revamped, and stunningly renovated Henrietta Hudson will take place this Saturday, May 15 at 6pm.

Saturday will reveal the first phase of the revamped space, with patrons invited to enjoy both sidewalk seating and seating in the stunning new curbside semi-enclosed parklet. Phases Two and Three, coming soon, will reveal HH’s dazzling and completely renovated interior spaces. While opening weekend will be restricted to the gorgeous outdoor spaces, one of the brand spankin’ new touch free restrooms inside will be available for patrons!

Patrons who wish to make a reservation (recommended) may do so via OpenTable, but walk-in customers will also be accommodated based on availability. Customers are invited to leave their information at the door, and wait for a text once a spot opens up!

GO readers know that we’ve been chronicling the journey of NYC’s legendary lesbian hot spot through all her incarnations for almost twenty years, and on the morning of the opening and throughout the day, we’ll bring you all the latest details we’re sure will entice you to safely venture out and join in the fun.

A year ago and during the peak of the pandemic, Henrietta Hudson owner Lisa Cannistraci said: “Whatever it takes, I will reopen this bar.” She has most certainly kept her word, though she credits the space itself for it’s ability to provide safety for all sexualities and genders as a driving force for the bar’s resilience.“We are a reflection of our community as a whole,” says Cannistraci. Hence, the major shift at Henrietta Hudson: the once inclusive, yet decisively “lesbian bar” is now, forever and by design a “queer bar built by lesbians.”
