100 Women We Love: Class of 2009

Once again, we celebrate our favorite out and proud women. As difficult as it is to narrow it down to just 100, this year’s eclectic list includes artists, athletes, club promoters, community organizers, entertainers, entrepreneurs, filmmakers, politicians and plaintiffs, who are making a difference in our world and the world at large.

Chef Rossi

“Molds are a wonderful thing to break,” flaunts Chef Rossi, and she’s not just referring to cakes. Known as the anti-caterer for her Raging Skillet international fusions and mad theme parties, Rossi breaks all the rules and is one of New York’s most creative and sought-after caterers. When she is not cooking up “fun, fast and fabulous” food, Rossi is writing about it. From a decade long column in Bust Magazine to her special features in the Daily News, Time Out New York, and the New York Post, Rossi is currently hard at work on her first book of edible memoirs titled, The Devil and Mrs. Goldstein. She has also been featured on the Food Network and is entering her fifth season as the host of Provincetown’s WOMR radio program called Bite This. –KD

Remember, these are in no particular order because we love them all!
