This powerful and healing work of art was first presented in 2002, six months after the attacks, and it has occurred annually ever since. The majestic blue twin beams will be presented by the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and will shine from dusk through dawn the next day. Assembled on a roof near the World Trade Center site, this illuminated memorial reaches four miles into the sky and is the strongest shaft of light ever projected from earth into the night sky.
