It’s a bit weird to think of RY X as a debut album artist.

With LPs as a member of The Acid and Howling and a Sam Smith nod by way of a cover under his belt, the Australian crooner has given fans time to get familiar with his Jeff Buckley-meets-James-Blake take on melancholic cult pop.

With his solo debut album last fall, “Dawn”, RY X vision came fully to life, an artist’s songs materializing entirely on their own terms, organic bridges between strands of folk and future-R&B.
