Icon of Women’s Performance (VOGUE) Monique Ebony has performed in the Ballroom Scene 20+ Years. Domestically and internationally Monèt as she is known to some has provided exciting performances and hosted several memorable ball events in NYC. Monique Diore Ebony received a Cited from the Brooklyn Borough President in 2016 for her community involvement and achievements through-out the years.
Monique identifying as Lesbian makes strides and statements for the Women in the LGBTQ community in her own right. Don’t Miss this Performance!

What is a Ball?
A ball is a competition based event. A House or Person in the Ballroom Community will put together an event with different categories tailored to the LGBTQ community to showcase their talents, creativity and imagination brought to life on stage. A ball is an impromptu sort of event although there is a set schedule and order to the event; you just never know what may happen! Categories are on the flyer, you will need to read the flyer in order to correctly enter the competition. There will be Judges (Who Have EXPERIENCE) who will judge whether or not you are fitting the category correct if you receive 10’s across the Board (From each Judge) you will be it the Battle for the Prize (Battle Zone).

How to Enter:
1. Be on time
2. Read the Flyer carefully
3. Choose the Category (When your category is called get up and come to the Stage) before the countdown ends.
4. WALK (Show why we should choose to put you in the Competition) Show your stuff! (10’s across the board means you’re in the competition)
5. Be Prepared to Battle (Practice)
