Live Out Loud’s Young Trailblazers Gala is our annual event where we bring together 400 donors, corporate supporters, elected officials and youth scholarship winners to celebrate Live Out Loud’s life-affirming educational programming for LGBTQ+ youth. At the event, we will honor advocates in the community who further our mission, and we will be awarding $10,000 scholarships to high school seniors for their leadership in the LGBTQ community – our favorite moment of the evening.

ABOUT LIVE OUT LOUD
Live Out Loud offers teens encouragement, a place to discover their voice, and most importantly, valued connections to role models who share their stories and advice for success. Live Out Loud builds these crucial connections through innovative, hands-on programs that include: Live Out Loud School Program partners with gender-sexuality alliance (GSA) clubs to focus on issues that matter. We shape the conversation and encourage LGBTQ youth to open their minds to new possibilities. Imagine stepping into the past to change the future. Through Live Out Loud’s Homecoming Project, we invite the LGBTQ community nationwide to return to their hometown high schools to share their personal stories with the next generation. Live Out Loud’s Behind the Scenes program partners with corporate LGBTQ affinity groups to connect students with out professionals who can provide career advice and personal guidance. We’ve partnered with companies such as Google, HBO, InStyle, NBC, The New York Times, and Viacom. Live Out Loud’s 360 Experience is focused on creating a safe and inclusive environment throughout the entire school community through education, conversation and community coordinated connections. Live Out Loud’s 360 Experience professional development trainings and workshops engages city council members, teachers, principals, students, and parents/guardians.

The Young Trailblazers Scholarship Fund – Every year, LGBTQ+ high school seniors are recognized and awarded scholarships for $10,000 at our Annual Young Trailblazers Gala for their outstanding leadership. These students show a commitment to working towards positive change.
