This picnic is for members of our covid conscious lesbian community to have one last hurrah outdoors before it gets too cold for us to host events outdoors! Come paint pumpkins, eat treats, and make new friends as we dive into the Autumn season! We will have a limited supply of pumpkins available with unlimited acrylic paint for decorating. We will also be holding a bake sale full of yummy autumn treats to help us raise money for future events! As it grows colder outside, we will need to move inside to warmer venues. All money raised through bake good sales will go towards helping us afford rental fees for indoor venues!
A ticket for paints + one pumpkin costs $8, and a BYO pumpkin ticket costs $4. Both tickets will come with unlimited access to our painting supplies (brushes, palettes, acrylic paint, tarp) but only one will come with a pumpkin! We will have limited pumpkins available day of (sugar pie pumpkins, decorative gourds, etc), but if you want to ensure you have a pumpkin reserved you must either bring your own or BUY A TICKET IN ADVANCE!
We will be meeting at a grouping of picnic tables right past Lafayette Memorial at Prospect Park! Exact location will be provided day of. We will be there from 11-3PM, feel free to show up at any time in that range!
We will upload the menu to this page as soon as it is available, but expect cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, hot cider, and all sorts of other autumn themed goodies for sale! We will have a collection of vegan and gluten free treats in addition to the standard selection.
We will be bringing 10+ blankets to create as large of an area as possible for people to disperse themselves, and encourage attendees to bring their own blankets as well to help us space out, especially when eating. We will provide tarps to lay over your blanket in order to prevent paint spills! Though we will be outside with more ventilation, masks will still be required (and provided!) for anyone who is not actively eating/drinking. The entrance to this part of the park is flat and has zero stairs!
We would love if everyone was able to test beforehand, but know this is not financially feasible for all of our guests. We will have a very limited amount of free Covid tests that can be taken before you join the picnic, away from the group! But if you have access to get your own test done, we would very much appreciate that. Lottie will be placing an order for Covid rapid tests before the picnic, so if you would like them to buy one for you feel free to DM us for the Venmo information!
