Gaysha Presents: A Queer Riot Festival!*Raising Awareness of Equality for the LGBTQI community, through the power of music & art!
The purpose of this event is to involve the public in current LGBTQI events and issues through art & music outlets. We will have 5 musical performances, 10 art vendors, and more. Local organizations will provide literature to educate our audience about the issues affecting the LGBTQI community at large. All of our performers and vendors are supporters, advocates for a more just equal society in regards to rights for our community. We strive to include not exclude and believe regardless of our personal choices, sexual orientation or gender identity, government and society should respect and protect all of humanity.
Our musical line-up includes:
JUNO BLACK – Juno is the CEO of Juno Black Music and the visionary of Gaysha Presents. Born in Bogota Colombia, Juno saved all of her earnings for 3 years to come to the United States. With just a few dollars in her pocket and a dream in her heart, 20 years later, Juno has made a huge impact in the music industry. With a wide array of experience in production, engineering, administration, retail, sales, live shows ,theater, dance and film. Juno Black Music is a full-service audio and video production company based out of Austin, Texas. Their mission is to help produce your own dream! We make possible for artists to successfully promote their brand. Juno is also apart of the LGBTQI community. She wants to raise awareness of the issues and inequality battle they face each and every day through interactive multi media events. Thus was birthed, Gaysha Presents: A Queer Riot Festival!

Landers/Marshall Duo – Singer/Songwriters Samantha Marshall and Justin Landers have worked very hard on developing a unique acoustic sound, combining Americana, Blues and Country influences using a guitar and a loop pedal with a strong focus on vocal harmonies.
Brand New Key – Brand New Key is a trans/queer, alt-bluegrass combo of seasoned musicians from all over the map. Texas natives Amy Moreland (mandolin, vocals) and Jack Kaulfus (guitar, vocals) teamed up in 2013 and began playing as a traditional bluegrass duo. When drummer Jill Csekitz (Fingerpistol) offered to add some acoustic beats to the sound, Brand New Key was born. Since then, upright bass player Julie Shipp (Bitterheart Society) and percussionist Ashley Welch have rounded out the five-piece.
Torino Black – Torino Black is a band formed in Texas but with roots from around the world. Their music is filled with melancholy lyrics and indie rock rhythm tangled in Venezuelan and Spanish influences.
Calliope Musicals – One of the BEST live bands the ATX has to offer! Voted – Austin Chronicle’s Band of the Year (2016) & Austin Chronicle’s Best New Band (2015) Calliope leaves you with a feeling of euphoria for days after! “We came from SPACE.You’re all going to die.” – Calliope Musicals
