This popular tour explores some of the Met’s queer treasures, from ancient Greek nudes (and erotic vase-painting, on which Professor Lear is a world expert!) to homoerotic works from the Renaissance, and a panoply of modern works, some by LGBTQ artists such as Gertrude Stein, some portraying LGBTQ people, and some expressing same-sex desire. At the end of the tour, the group will head to one of the bars that is open for Met Fridays. At The Metropolitan Museum of Art; meet inside main entrance to the right/next to Pharaoh statue.
