Camille Perri discusses her new novel When Katie Met Cassidy, a romantic comedy about gender and sexuality, and the importance of women taking the reins when it comes to love, sex, and self-acceptance.

When Katie Met Cassidy is the queer romance we deserve.” – Autostraddle

“Katie and Cassidy are a joy to behold: two whip-smart women grappling with desire and questioning their deeply held notions of love and intimacy. Perri’s book is a real gift — tender, sexy as hell and laugh out loud funny.”—Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney, New York Times bestselling author of The Nest

“Yes, When Katie Met Cassidy is a rom-com. But it’s also an important commentary on the taboos of women owning their sexuality.”—HelloGiggles

Camille Perri is the author of The Assistants, and has worked as a books editor for Cosmopolitan and Esquire. She has also been a ghostwriter of young adult novels and a reference librarian. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University, where she majored in English and gender and sexuality studies, and a masters of Library Science degree from Queens College.
