This summer, The Palm Court at The Plaza will be transformed into Provence with floral arrangements designed and provided by Venus ET Fleur, live French jazz, and the presence of legendary rosé vintners. From now until September 30, guests can be immersed in the sights, sounds and tastes of the south of France as they sip on rosé and cocktails garnished with rose and lavender.

On August 16, August 23 and August 30, music will be provided by Avalon Jazz Band, the ambassador of Parisian hot jazz.

Beginning on Thursday, August 16, The Palm Court will shine the spotlight on Chateau d’Esclans, whose vineyards are located near the ancient Roman city of Frejus on the Mediterranean coast and are known for their old Grenache vines. The Palm Court will be serving the 2017 Chateau d’Esclans Rock Angel starting at $20 per glass or $35 with pairing, and the 2017 Chateau d’Esclans Whispering Angel starting at $15 per glass or $30 with pairing.

Provence at The Plaza will feature an elegant pairing menu, derived from the spirit of France and will include: Mini squid ink cornet with salmon rillettes, scallop ceviche topped with grapefruit foam, a refreshing strawberry and lavender popsicle, and a lemon verbena posset with peach jelly and a pine nut crumble. To go along with the rosé and bites, The Plaza will be serving up Provence inspired cocktails, including Summer in Provence with peach bitters, Massenez Crème de Pêche, VieVité Rosé and prosecco, garnished with a sprig of fresh lavender and an orange slice. The Eternity Rose includes Nolet’s Gin, fresh lemon juice, black currant puree, simple syrup, St. Germaine, egg white, and rose, garnished with fresh rose petal.
