A new 30-minute short film, “Vow of Silence,” follows a heartbroken composer who takes a vow of silence to win back the heart of her true love, but ends up finding herself in the process. The music-driven story (from out musician Be Steadwell) specifically places “queer women of color at the center of the narrative,” which is still all-too-rare on screen. Check out the trailer below and then rent the entire film (only five bucks!) on Vimeo. (Bonus: If you love the soundtrack, you can get it here.)
