The story of one queer, Pakistani, Muslim woman and the relationship she has with her traditional mother.

Out actor, comic and writer Fawzia Mirza created the one-woman stage play “Me, My Mom & Sharmila” to tell the story of her relationship with her mother through their shared love of Bollywood star Sharmila Tagore. Mirza, who is also the co-writer and star of the new lesbian-themed feature “Signature Move,” is now looking to bring the show to the screen with the help of screenwriter Terrie Samundra.
