Jessica Origliasso of The Veronicas split with actress Ruby Rose just over a year ago, but now, with a new backup track out called “Think of Me,” Origliasso appears to be reflecting on their relationship. Origliasso and Rose were together for almost two years, and were at one point, Australia’s “it couple,” before the relationship fell apart.
Even during the relationship, the couple’s struggles sometimes were aired online, and Rose called out Jessica Origliasso’s twin sister on Twitter over her views on LGBTQ rights. “So glad to see Lisa Origliasso screaming in excitement about the yes vote after telling us she thinks we should feel ‘lucky’ we don’t get stoned to death like they do in other countries and get over it a few months ago … Really warms my heart,” Rose apparently said in a tweet that was later deleted. Rose later apologized and said she could have handled herself differently, but the in-fighting between Origliasso and both Origliasso sisters later devolved and Rose and Origliasso ended their relationship.

Post-breakup, the drama continued, including through a public feud that took place mostly in Instagram comments.
But now, a year out from their breakup, Origliasso told Channel 10 in Australia that The Veronica’s newest breakup track captures that “bittersweet feeling” of ending a relationship with someone important.
“It’s that you have where you’re still a bit bitter, but you still have those innocent feelings at 3 am where you wonder if that person is still going to think about you,” Origliasso told hosts. When asked if she felt that way about her recent breakup with Rose, Origliasso said, “sometimes, it varies day to day.” The relationship, she said in another interview, had been “painful and tough.”
