It was difficult to narrow down the entries, but we finally did it–and the result is the year’s most captivating couples! Ranging from a historic preservationist to a superhero to a TV talk show host (times two), it’s great to see so many proud women, not just in love, but spreading that love around and making the world a brighter place. Sandy and Robin met at Shescape in 1983. They are the duo responsible for Girl Bar, “one of the most well-known brands in the lesbian community.” They also produce the Girl Bar Dinah Shore Week, five fabulous days of parties for lesbians to celebrate the annual golf event. “As partners in business as well as partners in life for the last 19 years, [we] have found a way to not only work together successfully but to nurture and maintain [our] personal relationship as well.”
