From haunting folk to dance-floor-ready pop, these sapphic tracks deserve a spot in your weekend rotation.

As the week winds down and Halloween creeps closer, it’s time to give your playlist a little sapphic refresh. From moody folk and haunting heartbreak anthems to high-energy pop made for dancing, we’ve got your next lesbian jams covered. Consider this your soundtrack for the weekend.

Gen Laforce – “IFYGF”

Looking for a new jam to rage to this weekend, the fist pumping “IFYGF” is about to become your new sapphic hype song. From Montreal-based DJ and rising queer artist Gen Laforce this musical debut is a provocative, unapologetically sapphic dance track about stealing women’s girlfriends. A celebration of queer desire that refuses to cater to the male gaze, “IFYGF” is cheeky, confident, and decidedly not here to be subtle.

BELLADONNA – “Belladonna”

With vocals so sweet and dreamy they make you ache, BELLADONNA’s debut track, “Belladonna,” just might disrupt your all-Chappell-Roan playlist this weekend. The Tokyo-based lesbian artist is the brainchild of Alison Jones, who brings sapphic camp and classical drama together in a theatrical, dark-fairytale pop sound. While the aesthetic is sugary sweet at first glance, there’s a delicious darkness underneath that gives it an edge. A self-described hypnotist witch from the north, Jones pairs her classically trained, operatic vocals with a dreamy soundscape where 1970s Americana meets 18th-century classical opera.

Abby Posner – “Die Alone”

“Die Alone” fuses Americana, folk, and indie rock, drawing from a deeply personal place for award-winning Los Angeles singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Abby Posner. The track explores love, loss, and queer identity and appears on her new album, Rest and Rise. Released in two parts, Rest arrived September 14, with Rise following October 30. Written over the course of two to three years, the album emerged from a period of profound personal transformation, as Posner navigated a painful breakup, grief, and the process of rediscovering herself.

Auxphelia – “Scary”

Florida-based queer singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Danielle Nicole Drucker, who records as Auxphelia, takes a hands-on approach to her artistry. Written and produced entirely by Drucker, the track blends alternative R&B, hip-hop, and rock, pairing electric guitar, cinematic synths, and hard-hitting trap drums. At its heart, “Scary” is all about sapphic yearning and the haunting presence of someone who’s gone but never quite left.

Madds Buckley – “Tomes and Tombstones”

If you think indie pop, alternative rock, folk rock, and anime don’t blend well together, then you’ve never heard Madds Buckley. The Nashville-based singer-songwriter’s latest single, “Tomes and Tombstones,” is a haunting, folky meditation on heartbreak, old wounds, and finding the strength to move forward. Drawing on gothic imagery of graveyards, haunted houses, and moonlit nights, Buckley transforms the pain of a breakup into a moody and moving anthem.
