The Very Best of NYC Music

Hannah and Maggie, Pansy Division, Cathy Grier and much more

Tyler's Suite is an eight-piece choral movement led by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked and Pippin) telling the story of Tyler Clementi, the 18-year-old who committed suicide after being cyberbullied by his college roommate for being gay. The nationwide tour of Tyler's Suite is stopping in NYC for one night only, Jun 13, so get your tickets today and support the Tyler Clementi Foundation.
We love Hannah and Maggie—and we know you will, too. This award-winning NYC lesbian duo has been favorably compared to Simon & Garfunkel and The Indigo Girls, but these talented  ladies have a sound and an undeniable originality that's all their own. Meanwhile, L.A.-based Alicia Witt brings it with her piano-driven rock, so this Jun 19 show at Rockwood Music Hall is an all-female night of music that you shouldn’t miss.

Pansy Division is back in the Big Apple on Jun 26 for the first time in six years to headline a special Pride concert at The Bowery Electric. This brash and witty group will preview songs from their upcoming album that are sure to keep you dancing.

Kick off the month of July in Madison Square Park and hear some fantastic music! Madison Square Music: Above Ground is a new, free concert series that brings some of the best local subway performers above ground to play a free concert in the park. Cathy Grier is a singer-songwriter who believes in the power of music. Her career spans three decades, and her clear and powerful voice never fails to capture audiences. See her perform live on Jul 1.
