It’s a good week for lesbian music! Three of our biggest queer stars—Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Doechii—have been announced as performers at the upcoming 2025 Grammys. In the last year, these hitmakers stole our hearts, and this Sunday, they’ll be stealing the stage.
In addition to performing, the three stars racked up a collective 19 nominations, including some of the night’s top prizes. Billie leads the pack with seven nominations, including Album of the Year for Hit Me Hard and Soft, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Birds of a Feather,” and Best Pop Duo Performance for “Guess,” her collaboration with Charli XCX.

The Grammys may be business as usual for Billie, who’s scored a whopping 32 nominations throughout her career, but it’s never been a more exciting time to be Chappell Roan. The “Pink Pony Club” singer, who is a favorite to win Best New Artist, received six total nominations this year, including Album of the Year for The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess and both Record and Song of the Year for the lesbian anthem “Good Luck, Babe!”
With three nominations, Doechii joins Chappell in the Best New Artist race, and is also nominated for Best Rap Performance for her song “Nissan Altima.” She’s also the only woman nominated for Best Rap Album at this year’s ceremony. Her mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal, was released in August and was quickly named one of the best albums of 2024 by Rolling Stone and NPR.

Joining the queer stars in Sunday’s performance lineup are fellow Best New Artist nominees Raye, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone, and Sabrina Carpenter, as well as Album of the Year hopeful Charli XCX and Latin music icon Shakira.
The Grammys, hosted by Trevor Noah, will air live on Sunday, February 2 on ABC and Hulu Live at 8 pm. If you can’t catch the ceremony then, it will be available to stream the next day on Paramount+.
