They don’t call it “Gay Christmas” for nothing. No one does Halloween like the LGBTQ+ community, and these celebrities brought their A game this year.
While it may be too late to take inspiration from the extraordinary costumes this year, it’s never too late to start planning for next year.
- Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts as Coming To America
The Betts are already royalty in our eyes, so this homage to the 1988 Eddie Murphy comedy was perfect! Jessica perfectly encapsulates Murphy- down to the goatee! Grotesquerie star Niecy Nash stunned in a massive pink ballgown.
- Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager as Jack and Rose
Don’t let go, Hoda! The former Today show anchor held on tight to her wife, Jenna, as the two committed to the iconic Titanic pose. In a side-by-side photo comparison, the couple shows off their resemblance to the real deal.
- Janelle Monáe as a cyborg and E.T.
Janelle Monáe is always a standout on Halloween and this year is no exception! The singer graced the cover of the Hollywood Reporter as a sexy cyborg monster-man.
She didn’t stop there! Janelle was unrecognizable in a full-body E.T. costume. She might have officially won Halloween with this one.
- Keke Palmer as Milli Vanilli
Keke enlisted the help of her sister to dress as the iconic R&B duo Milli Vanilli. The two girls had their sultry stare and leather outfits prepared for this throwback photoshoot.
- Megan Thee Stallion as Starfire
If you’re a fan of Megan, you might’ve expected her to dress as an animated character. And you were right! The OG Hot Girl donned a massive wig and teeny bikini as Starfire from Teen Titans.

Victoria Monet had us howling with this furry look. She bared her talons and pointed teeth in a dramatic red and black leather bodysuit.
- Miss Benny as Lady Gaga
Miss Benny, the trans actress who starred in Netflix’s Glamorous, was channeling true Lady Gaga with this look inspired by the singer’s seashell bikini at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. She completed the look with a wavy blonde wig and blonde eyebrows.
- Rebecca Black as a sailor
Ahoy! Rebecca Black kept it simple and classic with this sailor get-up. She gave it her own sexy twist with a denim corset top and striped skirt.
- Trixie Mattel as Daphne
It’s no mystery that Trixie Mattel was looking gorgeous this Halloween! The world-famous drag queen and entrepreneur was sparkling in her Daphne costume. She even included a Mystery Machine bag to tie the look together.
- Gigi Gorgeous and Nats Getty as The Mask
Our friends Gigi and Nats put together a spot-on rendition of Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz in the 1994 comedy The Mask. Nats didn’t hold back, donning the recognizable green mask, yellow suit and wide-brim hat. Gigi wore a red strappy mini-dress to channel Cameron’s character.
- Alex Consani as Gru
This look from trans supermodel Alex Consani proves she can pull off anything. Alex, who is known for her hilarious online presence, managed to turn her Gru glam into a sexy (and funny) costume by pairing it with sheer lingerie.

Kim Petras looked out of this world as Ulala from the 1999 music video game Space Channel 5. She rocked the pink pigtails and orange latex crop top and skirt set. She didn’t skimp on the accessories either, including a mic, headset, and blue space gun.
- Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita as The Lincolns
Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin donned their historically accurate attire and celebrated Halloween as Abraham Lincoln and Mary. Jesse gave a shout out to Cole Escola, who created the Broadway hit “Oh Mary,” to thank them for telling their story.
- Auliʻi Cravalho and Lauren Trujillo as Frog and Toad
Actress and singer Auli’i Cravalho depicted the iconic gay amphibians, alongside Lauren Trujillo. Of course, we’re talking about Frog and Toad! The two posed in the forest reading, exploring, and galavanting.
- King Princess as Xenomorph
King Princess served the ultimate combination of spooky and sexy this Halloween as a hot Xenomorph. Yes, the extraterrestrial monster from Alien. The singer kept it cute with a skin tight bodysuit, but brought the fright with a terrifying mask.
