Maureen Guthman
As a self-proclaimed “TV junkie”, Maureen Guthman says, “my mission is to give women and African Americans an opportunity to see themselves in ways that television has long ignored. It is important that we are the featured heroes in our own stories.” Maureen Guthman is the Senior Vice President of Program Strategy and Acquisition for TV One, a network primarily targeting African American adults. Previously Guthman was the Vice President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions for MTV Networks, VH1 and LOGO. She was also part of the team that launched LOGO, acquiring numerous documentaries, feature films and programs; and securing broadcasting rights for The L Word and the mini-series Angels in America. Guthman has contributed to TV One’s ratings growth by acquiring a number of programs including the drama series Lincoln Heights and the Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary Celebration. -CB
