The official tagline of the state of California is “Find Yourself Here,” and as Director of Communications at the West Hollywood Marketing & Visitors Bureau, Amy Anderson brings that motto to life. Anderson is also the brains behind the Bureau’s satellite resource GoGay West Hollywood, which directs people to the city’s wealth of queer and queer-friendly bars, restaurants and hotels. “One of our hotels is already offering a gay honeymoon package,” she says, in reference to the recent California Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage. “It’s very important to promote LBGT tourism destinations so that people know they can go somewhere without worrying that their sexuality will be an issue.” –MF
