8 Queer Aquarius Women Who Live Life On Their Own Terms

January 27, 2025

Tinashe performing on stage

These queer celebrities truly embody Aquarius greatness.

Welcome to the stage, Aquarius!

This zodiac sign is known for innovative ideas and quick thinking. From January 20 to February 18, these unpredictable socialites shine.

Aquariuses, ruled by Uranus—the planet of rebellion, can be a tricky sign to figure out. While this Air sign tends to be passionate about community, they can be known to overlook personal connections because they’re too busy leading the next revolution. This Aquarius season will be transformative and creative, but these signs should also remember to make time for their loved ones.

Other Air signs, like Gemini and Libra, are a great match for Aquarius’ need for intellectual stimulation. Sagittarius and Aries, two fire signs, are also compatible because they typically value independence.

Whatever the season, out-of-the-box Aquarius thinkers always have something on their minds. Relax, girl.

For our Aquariuses—put a pin in your next big idea, take a breath, and scroll through some iconic queer Aquariuses who share your unique, eccentric, and occasionally too-serious traits.

Ariana DeBose (January 25, 1991)

Debose‘s Aquarius determination landed her an Academy Award and a Tony nomination. Aquariuses are in good company!

Ellen DeGeneres (January 26, 1958)

This retired comedian paved the way for lesbian representation. She became the first out lesbian to host a TV show in America after publicly coming out on air in 1997.

Portia De Rossi (January 31, 1973)

De Rossi, who starred in Arrested Development, tied the knot with DeGeneres in 2008. Two Aquariuses under one roof could be total organization or total chaos.

Julia Fox (February 2, 1990)

Fox, who came out last year in one of the most hilarious ways, totally embodies the unconventional style of an Aquarius, with her bleached eyebrows and blunt bob. In the words of Charli XCX, “So Julia!”

Tinashe (February 6, 1993)

This bicon catapulted through the charts last year after raising the question, “Is somebody gonna match my freak?” We’re still wondering if anyone rose to the occasion.

Chloë Grace Moretz (February 10, 1997)

Moretz, our Kick-Ass queen, received her birthday present early this year, announcing her engagement to Kate Harrison in January.

Stephanie Beatriz (February 10, 1981)

Beatriz, who is openly bisexual, delivered one of TV’s most enchanting bisexual characters: Rosa Diaz in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Megan Thee Stallion (February 15, 1995)

If you’re an Aquarius—lucky you! You share a zodiac sign with THEE hot girl. Make sure to brag to all your friends about this one.

Cheers to our Aquarius friends!
