Every performer is hopping into the digital space in an attempt to keep their shows going and their fans satisfied, and now Melissa Etheridge is joining the trend. Because the singer-songwriter had to postpone her 2020 tour dates, she’s taken to performing live concerts via Facebook Live.
Etheridge has announced that she’ll perform a Facebook Live sing-along every day at 6 p.m. EST (3 p.m. PDT). The shows themselves will only last about 15 minutes, but already fans and the artist alike are thrilled for the chance to connect.
“There’s been a few times that have felt like this: 9/11, the Pulse tragedy, and just things where you felt a connectedness through tragedy,” Etheridge told her fans on a live stream Monday night. “This is very fearful what we’re going through and I encourage you all to stay healthy, keep the stress down, move — just take care of yourselves. Reach out.”
Melissa invites you to join her these next couple weeks on Facebook Live at 3pm PST, 6pm EST, 10pm GMT for a 15 minute sing-along get-together. Invite your friends and family! See you all soon 😊 #TeamME pic.twitter.com/6YTgSPcXjH
