Lisa Lampanelli Donates $50K to GMHC in Westboro’s Name

Outspoken comedian and longtime LGBT equality advocate Lisa Lampanelli recently told TMZ she would donate $1,000 to the Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) for every member of the rabidly anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church that showed up to protest her show in Topeka, Kansas.

Heance, mean-spirited Westboro members unwittingly donated $50,000 to the GMHC when 48 of them appeared with their notorious anti-gay signs and hate-filled vitriol at Lampanelli’s performance. Following the show, Lampanelli posted on her Twitter account that she’d be writing a check in Westboro’s name for $44,000, but when another count found that 48 protesters actually appeared at the venue, she followed up with, “I won’t quibble. I’ll make it an even $50,000!”
