Free Walking Tour “Proud in New York’s Flatiron District”
June 23, 2019 @ 11:00 am
FreeTo celebrate Pride month, join our professional guide and historian Miriam Berman on a free walking tour and discover the “proudest moments” of the Flatiron District. Our special tour, “Proud in New York’s Flatiron District”, will lead you to Madison Square Park, the starting point of the annual NYC Pride March and the office buildings of one of the earliest gay and lesbian rights organizations and leading youth LGBTQ organizations, which all set up their home in the Flatiron District. You will also explore the city’s most notable landmarks, including the Flatiron Building, New York Life Insurance Building, MetLife Clock Tower, and Appellate Courthouse. The tour meets on Sunday, June 23 at 11 a.m. – rain or shine – at the tip of the Flatiron Building, on 23rd Street just east of 5th Avenue. No advance registration is required. Tours are provided by the Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership Business Improvement District (BID). For more information, visit: http://www.flatirondistrict.nyc/free-walking-tour
