ChamberQUEER is thrilled to collaborate with the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art to present This Is the Way That You Are. This program of music, designed to highlight the voices of queer composers and performers both past and present, examines ideas of identity and liberation, and how those ideas might intersect differently for different corners of the LGBTQ+ community. New works by Andrew Yee and Michael Genese, the latter featuring texts by Stonewall Protests leaders, rub up against pieces by former downtown queer luminaries like Julius Eastman and Arthur Russell – plus appearances by special guests with their own perspectives to share!
