A Striped Top Needs Her Bowed Bottom

Top: SDeer / Skirt: CIDER / Bolo tie: The Squire Shop / Shoes: CIDER

If you’re looking for the lovechild of business casual and y2k reminiscence, this is the perfect fit for you. On the top, we have a classic pinstriped button-down shirt, with an asymmetrical fold and button work to mimic the elements of a tie. Paired with the top, a solid black, structured, mid-rise skirt with bow details at the hips ties the look together. For all our dark-colored clothing lovers, put down your black shoes and black bag…she’s tired. For Valentine’s sake, add a pop of color with a dark red purse and a pair of burgundy flats. To finish the look, throw in a bolo tie with a red accent, or even a standard tie if that’s your vibe. This fit is perfect for dinner with bae, a romantic walk, or a night out with the besties.

Pleating Hearts

Top: Aelfric Eden / Pants: ZARA / Tie: Amazon / Black loafers: H&M / Sneakers: ADIDAS

For every heart patch sewn onto a button-up, a cupid gets her wings. This Aelfric Eden cut-out heart short-sleeve shirt leans both ways. Take it out for a casual vibe with besties or boos, or dress it up for a fancy night out. Depending on your activity, consider a skinny black tie to elevate the fit. On the bottom, we have black trousers with a double pleat detail to give the look some texture. If you’re looking for a classier vibe, black loafers are the way to go. Or if you’re seeking more of a statement to offset the solid black pants, try a silver pair of sambas! This fit screams picnic with bae Valentine’s edition. Not to worry, the fit also screams sweet treats and giggles with the besties.

Bowed Up And Boo’d Up

Dress: ZARA / Stockings: CIDER / Necklace: Enroute Jewelry / Shoes: Amazon / Handbag: Light in the box

For very good reason, Miss Bow is having her moment and no one can deny it. Bows have become the perfect accessory, especially for those leaning towards a femme vibe. For this look, a brown dress with bow details on the waistline is paired with sheer black stockings that have cutouts and red bows. The bows on the stockings give that perfect pop of Valentine red, and the cutouts give the look more dimension. Accessories are mandatory, especially to balance the brown and red tones. For jewelry, a dainty Y-shaped necklace with a heart charm and red accents complements the neckline of the dress. To match, try silver flats. This may be a bit controversial, but animal print matches everything because she is that girl! Here we have a zebra leopard print handbag to make a statement, but if a solid color or print is more your vibe, we won’t take offense. This fit is especially perfect for a night out with the galentines and a day at the museum with bae.

A Ladybug For Your Lady Bug

Top: Bershka / Jeans: Bershka / Blazer: Bershka / Sneakers: PUMA / Bolo tie: Etsy

If you’re looking for a more classic look, here’s the one for you. On top, we have a fitted white button-down with flared sleeves. Wide-leg ‘90s jeans with turn-up hems are the perfect bottoms to give a casual look. To layer on top, an oversized blazer, preferably with a striped or shaped pattern to add variety to the outfit. To add that V-Day element, a red Puma or sneaker of your choice is subtle and satisfying. For an outfit that can sway both casual and formal, the choice of accessory is crucial. For this fit, we’ve chosen a decorative ladybug bolo tie for a fun pop of red, and good luck on your Valentine’s Day. This fit is perfect for a formal dinner date, and once the blazer comes off, a post-dinner sweet treat or scenic walk.

A Versatile Bottom

Top: CIDER / Pants: Incerunmen / Beret: CIDER / Cap: Amazon / Bowtie: Tuxedos Online / Kitten heels: ASOS / Tabis: Raboesy

Having trouble with a bottom? Can’t decide between a skirt or pants? We’ve got you. This look has elements of both, with a pleated layer of fabric to give the look of a skirt, and structured pants beneath. The one-sided detail pairs perfectly with an asymmetrical red top of your choosing. A red leather top was our first choice. This outfit craves accessories, and there are too many to choose from. Starting from the top, a cheetah print beret or brown striped buckle cap are perfect statement pieces to give the outfit extra flair. To add a more formal tone, try a bowtie around the neck. For shoes, there are so many directions to go in. A kitten heel or pair of Tabis were our clear winners. This look is great for a coffee date, a concert, or a solo date.

Stargayzing

Shirt: Supermade / Jeans: H&M / Loafers: H&M / Carabiner: Amazon

A red zip-up shirt with a large black star will have your admirers starstruck. The oversized fit is perfect for keeping it zipped up, or unzipped and paired with a wife-pleaser or form-fitting tank underneath. White, black, or brown are all solid colors for the tank, but we wouldn’t be mad at brighter colors either! Underneath we went for a baggy black jean, which would look great in gray as well, and black loafers to tie it together. And, without question, the carabiner must have her moment. A heart-shaped carabiner, in black or even in red, is the perfect accent to keep the bottoms interesting. This look is the perfect date outfit, whether its a movie, a picnic with bae or besties, or a more sports-oriented date like bowling or mini-golf.

Accessories Go Wild At The Funeral

Shirt: Abercrombie / Skirt: Abercrombie / Tights: Urban Outfitters / Tie: Amazon / Bolo tie: Amazon

If love is dead, and so is Valentine’s Day, here is your funeral dress code inspo. We paired a black short-sleeve linen button-up shirt with a black crinkle asymmetrical midi skirt. Though love may be dead, the lust between an all-black outfit and an accessory is undeniable. A pop of red tights peeking out of a longer skirt can be your subtle rejection of Valentine’s Day this year, and your official homage to her life. We recommend an animal print tie to make a bold statement, and if the tie isn’t your vibe, then a bolo tie to pay your respects fashionably. Cowboy boots might not have been your first choice, but who can say no to a date with a cowgirl and a cheetah? This look is perfect for a solo date, a walk in the park, a day of arts and crafts, or, of course, for your attendance at a Valentine’s Day funeral.
