On Nov 19, head over to Gotham Hall to celebrate the Anti-Violence Project’s 11th Annual Courage Awards. The awards were established to honor outstanding individuals and organizations whose work on behalf of LGBT and HIV-affected communities have made a profound impact on all of our lives. Hosted by BD Wong, this year’s event honors New York State Assembly Member Daniel J. O’Donnell, Ms. Verna Eggleston of the Bloomberg Family Foundation, and the Sundance Channel.
The Hetrick Martin Institute hosts its 2007 Emery Awards Nov 28 at Cipriani Wall Street. The Emery Awards are presented by the Hetrick-Martin Institute to honor those who have worked to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youths aged between 12 and 21.
